Bianca discusses the incident that
happened to Miranda at the coffee shop with Adam. Bianca agrees with
what Miranda said – it's all Bianca's fault.
AJ wakes Miranda, who would rather stay
hidden away from the world in bed. AJ tries to be supportive, knowing she is dreading facing
the kids at school.
Pete introduces his friend Dillon
Wilder – the best coder in the west, to Jane, the owner of the
coffee shop. Dillon tries to get the scoop on what Pete's been up to
in the romance department. Dillon recounts how Pete has hooked up
with thirty-sometings in the past.
Brooke visits Celia at Celia's room and
admires the several bouquets of flowers Pete sent her. Celia is
upbeat despite the early hour. Celia glances in the mirror and is
distracted – likely recalling the image of the man she saw in the
mirror the previous day. Celia confides in Brooke that she is dating
Pete and she's happy and nothing is going to ruin it.
Cassandra's captor, Vlad is about to
beat Cassandra some more when he hears someone approaching. Vlad's
boss, a well dressed and groomed man threatens Vlad – if he touches the merchandise again, he will
be a dead man.
Jessie and Zach work together in trying
to determine where the Russian mob could be holding Cassandra.
Bianca thanks AJ for sticking up for
Miranda last night, then decides to go see Miranda. Adam walks in
and tells AJ that AJ's school Principal, Mr Larkin, called to suspend
AJ from school. Adam marvels at AJ's spirit when AJ storms out.
When Bianca steps into the room, Miranda breaks down and apologizes
for last night.
Dr. Joe finds Dixie asleep by JR's side, she
spent another night there. Joe asks Dixie if she's heard
anything from Tad. She says that she hasn't but it was expected.
Tad had warned her he would be incommunicado until his assignment is
over. Joe tells Dixie she can call him and Ruth at any time.
Bianca comforts Miranda, commiserating
over how difficult it is during your teen years. Miranda tells her
mother that she hates herself. Bianca recounts some of the more
difficult situations she has been in, like being on the cover of an
international tabloid – “Erica Kane's daughter is gay!” and
she was being blackmailed at the time. Bianca tells Miranda she's
strong, but Miranda begs her mother to transfer her to Bramwell or
home school her or anything – just don't send her back.
Pete
is still having coffee with Dillon when he notices Celia outside. He
sets up another date for later that night with her.
In
JR's hospital room, Adam tells him that he's going on an extended
trip and he has left Brooke in charge of Chandler Enterprises. He
would have made the same decision regardless of whether JR was in a
coma or not. Dixie walks in on Adam laying into JR “Adam Chandler
Jr. - a drunk, a failure in business and in life – one of the
biggest disappointments in Adam's life...” - Dixie cuts him off.
“This
is your son, this is your flesh and blood.” Dixie understands her
son has hurt a lot of people, but he had a lot to overcome –
including being Adam's son. Dixie asks “can't you find it in his
heart to show his own son a little kindness?”
Pete
goes back inside the coffee shop and Dillon teases Pete about going
for a younger type of girl than he used to. Dillon continues without
himself or Pete realizing that Celia has come in the coffee shop and is
behind them. Dillon observes how timid Celia seems to be – Pete
could use any line and Celia would never have heard it before. Pete
states he doesn't need to use lines. “Dont tell me you already
sealed the deal. I knew you were fast but this is a record even for
you.” “So whats the plan, you take the V-card and give her
another ride or two before moving on to the next one?” Pete
interrupts “Enough Dillon,” Celia slips out unnoticed without
hearing Pete continue “You're way off base. I really like this
girl. There's something about her. Something special – I have
never met another girl like her in my life.”
Jessie
meets with the mother of a girl who went missing a few months prior,
hoping to find a clue to lead him to Cassandra. Later, Zach explains
to Jessie that they need to move fast. Within days these criminals
begin feeding them booze, drugs, whatever they can to get control
over them before they're shipped anywhere in the world.
Vlad's
boss goes in to see Cassandra and seems to win her over with his more
gentle approach – He apologizes for Vlad. He states that they need
to trust each other as he removes the handcuffs that bind her to the
bed. She states she just wants to go home. The man tells her that
she would shock her loved ones if they saw her with the bruises she
has sustained from Vlad's beatings. He offers her a pain killer and
she takes it timidly.
AJ
announces to Miranda that he's suspended. AJ is not pleased when he
hears that Miranda is thinking of transferring to Bramwell. AJ muses
that he's not going to look good in a plaid skirt and white socks.
People will start to talk. Miranda hugs him and states how much she
loves AJ.
Dixie
lectures Adam, reminding him that JR was a victim that night too.
And now David is out and she caught him in JR's room with his hands
on JR's neck. Adam worries that David might target AJ next. Dixie asks Adam - “This is your pride and joy. Cant you just tell him
you miss him and want him to come back to us?”
Pete
wonders at the fact that he's been stood up. Celia throws the
bouquets of flowers in the trash, wondering how she could have been
so dumb. Her phone rings – Pete is calling.
Vlad's
boss displays his displeasure with Vlad – now they will need to
allow the bruises to heal before sending her away. He hands Vlad the
pain killers and states - “You know what to do. Once we get her
hooked, she'll stop fighting and do whatever we want her to.” In
her bed, Cassandra begins to see blurry.
Adam
announces that he loves AJ, and he always will. Dixie hugs Adam and
thanks him, then walks him out. In his sleep, AJ says the word -
“Dad.”
